КГУ “Областной специализированный дом ребенка” государственного учреждения “Управления здравоохранения области Жетісу” функционирует с февраля 1989 года. С момента открытия мощность учреждения составляла 100 койко-мест. Основной деятельностью Дома ребенка является воспитание и оказание медицинской помощи детям сиротам и детям, оставшимся без попечения родителей, детям от молодых матерей, рожденных вне брака, а так же детям с дефектами умственного и физического развития.
